neck-thru beauty. Super high quality with awesome high output pickups.

This is a great example of a Japanese guitar made in the 1970’s. In the 70’s Japan was beginning to produce some excellent guitars and “The Asama” was one of these. It’s a good quality guitar, made by the Tombo guitar company. Presumably, they weren’t made in huge numbers because you don’t see them come up for sale very often.

The thru-neck construction, together with decent pickups, makes this a guitar worth having if you’re after that 70’s classic rock thing.  It has plenty of sustain and the saddles can be set separately.

Condition: It’s in very good condition. It has excellent action. The smooth neck is in excellent shape. The tuners appear to be original and are in good condition. The electrics all work. There are some minor marks on one edge of the back cover. Other than that, there are just a few tiny cosmetic marks here and there (one small ding on the right bout and a tiny scratch on the right horn front). The saddles could do with a clean up.
